The Associate Degree in Education (ADE) is a two-year program that provides foundational training for individuals aspiring to enter the teaching profession. The curriculum covers essential topics such as educational psychology, teaching methodologies, classroom management, and assessment techniques. Students also gain practical experience through micro-teaching and school-based internships. ADE graduates are equipped to support learning in early childhood and elementary education settings. Career opportunities include roles as primary school teachers, teaching assistants, and education facilitators in schools, community education programs, and private institutions.

Program Objectives:

To equip prospective teachers with adequate knowledge of subject matter, contemporary pedagogies, communication skills, critical thinking and dispositions to become an elementary school teacher.
To offer students a teacher education program that allows them to move through a four-year B.Ed by completing part of the degree (ADE) and completing the remaining two years of the program immediately, or by completing the additional year(s) at a later date.

Program Outcomes:

To master the contemporary pedagogies of the desired level.
To practice communication skills and critical thinking in classroom situations.
To use the abilities gained for future-oriented teacher education programs.
To enhance focus on quality education at the school level.

Eligibility

Candidates holding an Intermediate certificate with at least 45% marks, or A-Levels with an equivalency certificate from IBCC Islamabad, or an equivalent certificate from a recognized institution, are eligible to apply.
Candidates need to pass an entry test or an aptitude interview conducted by the University.
