The Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Education is a research-focused program designed to cultivate advanced expertise in educational theory, practice, and policy. The curriculum covers areas such as curriculum design, educational leadership, pedagogy, educational psychology, and policy analysis. PhD candidates engage in original, high-level research aimed at addressing significant challenges in education, contributing new knowledge, and developing innovative solutions. This program prepares graduates for leadership roles in academic research, educational policy development, and higher education. Career opportunities include university professors, educational researchers, policy analysts, education consultants, and leaders in educational institutions and government agencies.

Program Educational Objectives (PEO’s):

The objectives of the program are to;

Establish core of specialists for leadership in planning, development, management and evaluation of educational programs.

Develop personal competence and skills in the field of Education to meet present and future needs and challenges.

Demonstrate intellectual contribution to the treasury of knowledge in the field of education by effective application of vision gained.

After completion of PhD program, the scholar will be able to:

Identify and rectify different Social & Educational problems.

Note for Scholars:

After completion of the PhD in Computer Science, scholars will be able to:

Master broad knowledge in several specialized areas of Computer Science across fundamental theory, software, systems, and applications

Demonstrate in-depth knowledge in area of research

Critically analyze published work in their area of research

Apply critical thinking, problem solving and technical skills to solve problems with minimal guidance, and to carry out independent and original research.

Effectively communicate ideas and results to peers and to broader technical audiences in the form of conference papers, journal papers, and/or oral presentations

Eligibility

  • Candidates having 18 years of education (MS/M.Phil degree in Education) with 3.00 CGPA on the scale of 4.00 in semester system or at least 60% marks in annual system from any recognized institute/university are eligible to apply.
  • Candidates needs to pass GRE/ HAT/ SU-GAT (General) conducted by NTS/ETEA or any Registered Testing Agency with at least 60% cumulative score and qualify interview to be conducted by the concerned department.
  • Candidates who have done MS without Research thesis may be considered for admission in the PhD program if they submit a published paper in an HEC recognized journal as a Principal Author.

Procedure to Apply In-Person

  • Visit the Admission Office located at the Main Campus in Peshawar.
  • Obtain the Admission Form from the Admission Office.
  • Carefully and accurately complete all sections of the Admission Form.
  • Attach all the required documents and submit the form at the Admission Office.

  1. Visit the website: form.suit.edu.pk.
  2. Sign up on the Online Admission Portal by providing the required information.
  3. Sign in to your account using the credentials you created during sign-up.
  4. Browse through the available programs and select the one you wish to apply for.
  5. Fill in your personal details accurately.
  6. Provide all necessary educational information.
  7. Upload clear and readable copies of the required documents.
  8. Download and print the Admission Processing Fee Challan.
  9. Submit the fee at your nearest JS Bank Branch (branch details are available on the portal).
  10. Upload a copy of the paid fee receipt to the portal.
  11. Carefully preview all the entered information and documents.
  12. Submit your application once you are sure everything is correct.
