The Master of Science in Nursing (MS Nursing) is a two-year advanced degree program aimed at preparing nurses for leadership, education, and specialized clinical roles. The program focuses on advanced nursing practices, healthcare policy, research methods, and patient care management. Students can specialize in areas such as critical care, pediatric nursing, psychiatric nursing, or community health. Through a combination of theoretical learning and clinical experience, graduates are equipped to provide high-quality, evidence-based care. Career opportunities include nurse educators, advanced practice nurses, clinical supervisors, and nursing managers in hospitals, academic institutions, and public health organizations.

Program Educational Objectives (PEO’s):

On completion of the two year Master of Science in Nursing program, the graduates will be able to:

Apply contemporary knowledge and the best available evidence from different sources in professional decision-making during nursing practice.

Apply critical and reflective thinking skills, as well as utilizing systematic approach to problem-solving and professional decision- making.

Apply principles/standards in decision making, critical thinking, and independent judgments to the role of the advance practice nurse.

Demonstrate the ability to translate relevant research finding for evidence-based practice.

Contribute to knowledge and practice by identifying research concepts/areas for conducting supervised research.

Demonstrate leadership qualities and function effectively as nurse educator and manager.

Articulate, promote, and advocate for nursing professional development, in general and the specialist role, particularly, in clinical, legal/ political, and professional contexts.

Work collaboratively with other health care professionals to enhance the quality of practice and services.

Use advanced communication and interpersonal skills in professional work, Communicate clear, consistent, accurate information verbally and in written or electronic forms, in a manner sensitive to the context.

Eligibility

  • The candidate possessing the BSN/Post R.N bachelor degree obtained after 16 years of education with at least 60% marks in annual system or CGPA 2.5 on a scale of 4.00 from a recognized institute/ university will be eligible for admission in MSN program.
  • Candidate need to pass GRE/ HAT/ SU-GAT (General) conducted by NTS /EATA/ any registered testing agency or university with at least 50% cumulative score.
  • Valid registration of all professional qualification with the PNC.

  • Obtain the Admission Form from the Admission Office.
  • Carefully and accurately complete all sections of the Admission Form.
  • Attach all the required documents and submit the form at the Admission Office.

  2. Sign up on the Online Admission Portal by providing the required information.
  3. Sign in to your account using the credentials you created during sign-up.
  4. Browse through the available programs and select the one you wish to apply for.
  5. Fill in your personal details accurately.
  6. Provide all necessary educational information.
  7. Upload clear and readable copies of the required documents.
  8. Download and print the Admission Processing Fee Challan.
  9. Submit the fee at your nearest JS Bank Branch (branch details are available on the portal).
  10. Upload a copy of the paid fee receipt to the portal.
  11. Carefully preview all the entered information and documents.
  12. Submit your application once you are sure everything is correct.
