The Associate Degree in English is a two-year program that provides students with a strong foundation in English language, literature, and communication skills. Eligibility

Candidates holding an Intermediate certificate with at least 45% marks, or A-Levels with an equivalency certificate from IBCC Islamabad, or an equivalent certificate from a recognized institution are eligible to apply.
Candidates need to pass an entry test or an aptitude interview conducted by the University.

Program Objectives and Program Outcomes

Program Objectives:

The AD English (2 Years) program follows the guidelines of the Higher Education Commission, Islamabad, Pakistan. It helps learners use various skills involved in the interpretation, understanding, analysis, reading and research of texts and pieces of English literature. Courses develop an understanding of different genres and forms of literary expression (poetry, prose, novel, drama, non-fiction) as well as linguistic and rhetorical skills through frequent reading and writing assignments and class discussions.

Program Outcomes:

Students will demonstrate the capacity to write and speak clearly, read perceptively, and think critically.
Students will have knowledge of historical traditions in literature.
Students will understand how written and spoken language expresses diverse cultural experiences.
Students will have profound knowledge of the key concepts in English language and literature.
