Sarhad University of Science and Information Technology (SUIT), Peshawar, marked a strong presence at the Jung Group Education Expo held at Shiraz Arena on September 4, 2024. The Honorable Governor of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Mr. Faisal Karim Kundi, in recognition of SUIT's contribution, invited the SUIT team for a detailed discussion on expanding educational opportunities for the youth of the province.
A high-level meeting was held between the SUIT team, led by the Director of Admissions, and the Governor of KP.
The meeting focused on devising strategies to empower the students of KP through academic and industry partnerships.
Key outcomes of the meeting include:
1. Project Exhibition and Literary Expo: SUIT will organize an interversities and colleges exhibition in the Governor House to showcase student projects and a literary expo aimed at promoting talent and innovation among the youth.
2. Industry Linkages: SUIT will establish strong linkages with industries across KP and other provinces, especially in Punjab and Sindh, to provide practical exposure and opportunities to students. This will be done with the full support of Governor KP.
3. Scholarships for Needy Students: A special initiative for scholarships will be introduced to support underprivileged students, particularly female students, enabling them to pursue higher education at SUIT.
This collaboration marks a significant step towards enhancing educational infrastructure and opportunities for students in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. With the patronage of the Governor KP, SUIT remains committed to playing a pivotal role in the academic and professional growth of the province’s youth.
