Sarhad
University Peshawar celebrated Independence Day in a unique way by
planting trees at campus on August 14, 2018. Students and faculty
members offered prayer
for the peace and solidarity in Pakistan. Vice Chancellor Sarhad
University Prof.Dr. Salim-ur-Rehman, Registrar Prof.Dr Habib-ur Rehman, Dean, Faculty of Engineering Prof. Ghulam Ruhullah and
other faculty members planted trees in vicinity of University. After
trees plantation cake cutting ceremony was conducted. Vice Chancellor
Prof.Dr. Salim-ur-Rehman paid rich
tributes to all those who scarified their lives for attaining the
freedom. He said the nation is indebted to all those who struggled and
put hard efforts to liberate the country from the clutches of cruel
colonial rulers and it is the duty of every countryman/woman to
contribute for preserving the hard won independence. He
also said that students can play their constructive role by panting and
taking care of the planted trees, which will make our area green and
this will surely contribute in healthy environment.
