Sarhad University of Science and Information Technology, Peshawar as a trendsetter took another initiative and organized an outstanding First Alumni Reunion on April 22, 2017. On the eve of Alumni Grand Reunion, the chief guest was Dr. Khalid Khan, Additional Secretary, Higher Education Libraries and Archives, KP.

The Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Salim Ur Rehman, Dean Engineering Sciences Prof. Ghulam Rohullah, Dean Sciences & CS/IT Prof. Dr. Nazir Shah Khattak, Registrar Mr. M. Nasir, HOD’s, Faculty members, guest and students graced event with their presence. In the Alumni Reunion approximately 190 Alumni from batches 2001 - 2016 participated with full zeal and zest.

Mr. Afrasyiab Farooq (Alumni Officer & Secretary Alumni Reunion 2017) presented a welcome note to all the distinguished guests and Alumni.  The event activities were moderated by Dr. Gohar Abbas (AP & Director CDC), Mr. Kamran khan (AP & Deputy Dir. ICT) and Mr. Abdul Qayyum Khan and the friendly stage activities were held between Alumni & Faculty members which included Bait Bazi, Quiz Competition, Drama, Declamation and Dancing competitions.

On the eve of Alumni Reunion Dr. Khalid khan shared his deep warmth and love for SUIT Alumni. He shared that Alumni are real asset of the university because they portray concrete face of SUIT and represent Sarhad University at their respective communities and workplaces. The SUIT Alumni must be proud to be Sarhadian and should participate with enthusiasm in Alumni Reunion every year.

Vice chancellor Sarhad university appreciated the efforts of the organizing team. VC added that SUIT alumni always showed deep love for SUIT & faculty, VC Further added that despite of Alumni’s busy schedule they have participated in Alumni Grand Reunion. The Vice chancellor Prof. Dr. Salim Ur Rehman emphasized on the importance of Alumni engagement and shared that Alumni constant feedback and engagement will help the University as well as Alumni to grow with a fast pace.   

On the occasion, Alumni from different departments shared their experiences and success stories with the audience as Sarhadians. The purpose of the experience sharing and success stories was to motivate Alumni and students to engage themselves in Alumni related activities.

The Alumni Grand Reunion was ended with thanks note and high expectations for the forthcoming reunion in 2018.
